Privacy Policy — Pixvert

Cuprbot Labs Inc. ("we", "us", "our") built Pixvert ("the App") as a commercial application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our App.

Image Processing

Pixvert processes all images entirely on your device using Apple's native ImageIO and CoreGraphics frameworks. Your photos are never uploaded to external servers. No image data leaves your device during conversion. We do not have access to your photos, and no copies are made beyond the converted output you explicitly save.

Information We Collect

Analytics Data

We use PostHog, a third-party analytics service, to understand how people use the App. PostHog collects:

  • Screen views and navigation patterns
  • Feature usage (conversion formats selected, batch sizes, quality presets)
  • App version, device model, and operating system version
  • Session recordings of your interactions with the App (taps, scrolls, screen transitions)
  • Network request telemetry (request timing, not content)

PostHog does not collect your name, email address, or Apple ID. Analytics data is associated with a randomly generated anonymous identifier, not your identity.

Session recordings capture the visual state of the App during use. No keyboard input is recorded outside of the App. No data from other apps on your device is captured. No photo content is included in session recordings.

Feedback Data

When you submit feedback through the App, we store the following in Apple's CloudKit service:

  • Feedback type (idea or bug report)
  • Your written feedback text
  • Star rating (1–5)
  • Selected use cases
  • Bug description, severity, and context (if reporting a bug)
  • Email address (only if you voluntarily provide it)
  • App version and device model
  • Submission timestamp

Feedback data is stored in Apple's CloudKit public database, operated by Apple Inc. under their iCloud Terms of Service. We use this data solely to improve the App.

Purchase Data

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage purchase status and entitlements. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase analytics. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card number, or Apple ID. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect your name, Apple ID, or account information
  • We do not access, upload, or store your photos on any server
  • We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or location
  • We do not track you across other apps or websites
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers
  • We do not use your data for targeted advertising
  • We do not retain EXIF metadata from your photos (processing is ephemeral)

Data Retention

  • Analytics data is retained by PostHog according to their data retention policies
  • Feedback submissions are retained in CloudKit indefinitely for product improvement
  • Purchase entitlement data is managed by RevenueCat and Apple
  • Converted images are saved to your device only — we retain nothing

Your Choices

  • Analytics: The App does not currently offer an opt-out for analytics collection. You can delete the App to stop all data collection.
  • Feedback: Feedback submission is entirely voluntary. You choose what to write and whether to include your email.
  • Purchases: Purchase history is managed by Apple. You can manage subscriptions and purchases through your Apple ID settings.
  • EXIF Metadata: You can choose to preserve or strip EXIF metadata before each conversion.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and on our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
